This sculpture represents the thin veil which separates us from the afterlife. We walk the physical plane, but eventually we all pass through the veil of the forgotten. Once the immortal part of us, the souls, passes through the veil, we move on into a new faze of life. This highly detailed fine art sculpture by Jason Hite is hand cast by Cleveland Studio Foundry in bronze. Then the piece was hand polished to a near mirror finish and lacquer coated by Chelsea Plating Company. Images include the raw clay (a reddish color) and the wax master being chased with an alcohol torch.
