Cathedral of the Dead, “Adoration Ex Mortius”, is a 7.5” tall x 6” wide x 6.6” deep sculpture that was originally sculpted in Zbrush. This companion piece to the floating city. A cathedral of divine worship for the spirit world. Although the outside of this church is somewhat unsettling, lost souls trapped in the astral plane brave enough to enter have a chance at redemption to ascend to higher planes of existence. This highly detailed fine art sculpture by Jason Hite is foundry cast in bronze by American Bronze Foundry and hand polished to a mirror finish in some areas by Chelsea Plating Company. All made in the USA.
Original Concept sketch done in my 8”x5” travel sketchbook, called “The Procession”. Lost souls flocking to the only thing they can see in a baron void of nothingness. Once they reach the cathedral their souls are uplifted. In this temple, the souls are able to recognize the divine light within themselves and ascend to the next plane of existence.
Exploration sketches for making the sculpture into a stackable castle/dungeon.
